D. Zachary Grabill - Attorney

 

Zach Grabill is an associate in the firm's Real Estate section, with a focus primarily on commercial real estate matters including the purchase and sale of developed and undeveloped real estate, the negotiation of related real estate financings including tenant-in-common transactions, conduit lending, construction and development loans, refinancings, and loan workouts, commercial leasing projects including office and retail properties on behalf of both landlords and tenants, and planned development related work on behalf of local and national property developers. Prior to joining the Firm, Zach worked as an associate in the administrative law section of a multi-national law firm, where he represented a Fortune 100 telecommunications carrier in regulatory matters before the Virginia State Corporation Commission and other states, represented one of the nation's largest waste management companies in regulatory compliance and radio frequency permitting matters before the Federal Communications Commission, assisted clients in contract negotiations and disputes, and assisted clients with regulatory matters arising in the context of large-scale corporate mergers.

  • Representation of borrowers in commercial lending transactions, including refinancing and defeasance of existing loans.
  • Representation of landlords and tenants in office, retail, warehouse and ground leases, including complex leases involving nationally known tenants.
  • Representation of investors in structuring and negotiating real estate joint ventures and limited partnerships.
  • Formation of limited liability companies, partnerships and corporations.
  • Representation of buyers and sellers in purchase and sale of real estate.
  • Corporate asset acquisition and disposition.
  • Structuring and negotiating comprehensive covenants, restrictions and easements for large scale residential, commercial and mixed use developments.
